1981
How DSI was born
In the spring of 1981, Daniel De Mol was working in the banking sector. At the request of a window manufacturer friend, who was looking for a computer solution for his business, the polytechnic engineer accepted the challenge and designed a small program with an HP calculator. Thanks to some small ‘macros’, it was soon possible to calculate the dimensions of a window’s glazing and those of the profiles according to a defined type of window. Which led him to create his own company with his wife. DSI was born in June 1981
1990
Expansion
This emergence in the computer industry, together with the interest in the software solution that he had devised for manufacturers of carpentry series, promoted Chacal, consolidating it as a reference software in the carpentry sector.
2006
Succession
The company passes from the hands of Daniel and Francoise de Mol to their son Nicolas De Mol, with the aim of continuing to grow Chacal at the pace of technological advances.
2022
Present
Today, Nicolas De Mol, son of the founders, continues to lead DSI, with the challenge of continuing to grow Chacal and adapting it to the new needs of the market.

1984
Origin
Since the 80s we have carried out our activity in the enclosure sector, participating in large reference works in our country.
1989
We integrate Jackal
At the end of the 80s, we incorporated a new and innovative management software called Chacal into the company’s production line.
2008
DSC Birth
Considering the instability generated by the real estate bubble, we decided to cease our production of enclosures, and instead, we emerged as Designs and Solutions for DSC Enclosures, performing consulting work for other companies.
2019
Chacal Distributors
In 2019 we acquired the status of official distributor of Chacal in Spain, the carpentry software that was used for many years in our workshop, in conjunction with cutting machines and machining centers, giving us excellent results.
